Introduction
At the Marbella Design Academy we value our goal to educate students to become professionals, not only to the top level in all the required subjects, but also in the professional computer programs used in the industries. At the Marbella Design Academy we develop students in all the necessary skills needed to solve a wide variety of real life design tasks, which face professional designers.
Important aims are to preserve and foster individual creativity and enhance artistic skills. Students are prepared for the high level of professionalism demanded by the market in terms of quality of presentation, aesthetic sensibility and project management in any design environment. It is of great importance for us that students, as well as having lectures, have sufficient individual attention from their tutors. We believe that one to one tuition is an important factor for achieving good academic results. All tutors are practicing professionals within their respective fields. Please see the staff page. Design problems can be solved, as they occur, in an interactive way and provide real learning opportunities during the routine acquisition of design skills.
The Academy timetable: 9.00 to 16.00 daily -Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Each group has full time and individual attention from the professionally qualified staff.
The Academy requires that the students start their studies as dedicated, passionate, hardworking, self-motivated and disciplined pupils. It is a must that the students are motivated towards their study and have a mature approach to obtain the best results. The Marbella Design Academy expects that the students are present and on time for the daily lectures and activities. The tutors will not repeat the lectures and we do not accept students arriving late or taking holidays during tuition time. If a student becomes ill for more than 3 days, the Academy requires the student to provide the school with a medical note. It is the student's responsibility to keep updated and level with the rest of the class via the class network. Students are expected and required to study outside of Academy hours.
The first day of study, the students will be given the agenda for the entire Academic year with all tuition scheduled for every day and every hour. The agenda can be emailed beforehand on request.
The rules and regulations for studying at the Marbella Design Academy will be given and read by the students on the first day of the Academic year. The rules and regulations can be emailed on request.
Student Council: Each year, a student council is elected by the students. If you have any questions regarding your future stay, then you are of course welcome to email our student council: students‐council@designschool.com

It is possible for students to enter directly into the 2nd or 3rd year if they have the necessary skills required.
Students who have already completed a 1st year elsewhere, may present their work in support of an application to enter directly into the 2nd year. The examination at the end of the 1st year may be taken a maximum of three times. The result of the assessment is communicated in writing as soon as possible after completion of the examination.
Periodic examinations and assessments take place on the completion of projects in all of the courses at the Academy. These take the form of a presentation in a designer-client environment, which has to be completed in order to enter the next academic year.
Admissions:
The student has to be at least 17 years old to enter the first year and at least 18 years old to enter the 2nd year. The Academy is open for students all day until 16.30 hrs. and often longer on request.
Andalucia is an important region in the history of western culture. Seville, Granada, Cordoba and Malaga the birthplace of Picasso, are all influenced by the Romans and the Moors. We recommend that our students go sightseeing on their own during weekends and holidays.
