The theory classes study subjects in more depth during the 2nd and the 3rd year.

The students are taught in a studio-like environment, with planned lectures daily, within the subjects, group briefings with tutors as well as one to one tuition. The students have tutor attention the entire day. At the Marbella Design Academy we value the active debate and discourse to articulate the function, value and purpose of Graphic Design.
The students are encouraged to challenge existing design and to identify design-related communication problems. The students are taught to be self motivated, to develop their intellectual curiosity, to question the tasks and to develop their own self confidence to research the subject matter, create storyboards and make all the sketches needed before the project is further developed with the computer programs.
All tutors in the Academy are actively involved in Graphic Design and all have professional practices, as well as tutoring at the Academy.
The Marbella Design Academy has a strong connection with the real World. Many companies contact the Academy with job offers for our students. . Projects are developed after tuition hours, guided by the tutors who are fully involved in helping the students to complete their projects. Other projects are also solved, as real life projects to clients. The clients are invited to business briefings with the students, conducted at a professional level which is a great way for the students to gain self confidence, in the interaction with the client, even before graduation. The students also have several other projects to fulfil during the academic year.
Graphic design is one of the most important and influential of the creative industries. A company's success is very much dependant on the effective use of graphics, branding and identification. Graphic Design contributes significantly both directly and indirectly to our economic and cultural wellbeing. Graphic design is the process and art of combining text and graphics and communicating an effective message including the design of logos, graphics, brochures, newsletters, posters, signs and any other type of visual communication.
It is our aim to educate our students to a high academic level in order for them to achieve a near 100% employment rate after graduation.
So far this goal has been fulfilled. Nearly all of our Graphic Design graduates have found employment, no matter where in the world they reside.
The Students at the Marbella Design Academy come from all over the world and most students return to their home countries after graduation.
