Fees

18.000€ total fee per academic year*

This one-year Master in Innovative Design programme is developed, delivered, and assessed by Marbella Design Academy and is in the process of validation by the University of Bedfordshire.

* The fee consists of a yearly tuition fee of 14.000€ and an administration fee of 4.000€.

Master in Innovative Design

This intensive, interdisciplinary programme equips students with advanced design methodologies, sustainability principles, and strategic innovation skills to navigate today’s design challenges.

Students will engage in lectures, workshops, and independent study throughout the academic year.

Core Credits:

  • Module 71: Design Innovation: 40 UK credits = 20 ECTS
  • Module 74: Final Major Project: 60 UK credits = 30 ECTS
  • Module 72: Design Sustainability: 40 UK credits = 20 ECTS
  • Module 73: Design Management: 40 UK credits = 20 ECTS

Module 71: Design Innovation

Focus: Explore advanced principles of design innovation, including human-centred design, creative ideation techniques, and innovative strategies. Learn how design innovation influences business, culture, and society.

Module 72: Design Sustainability

Focus: This module focuses on gaining insights into sustainable design practices, circular economy principles, and whole-systems thinking. It emphasises designing for long-term social and environmental impact while addressing global challenges.

Module 73: Design Management

Focus: Develop essential skills in managing design projects, fostering creative leadership, and applying brand and marketing strategies. Learn to address global trends and create strategic approaches for design practice.

Module 74: Final Major Project

Focus: Students specialise in one of three areas:
1.INTERIOR DESIGN
2.GRAPHIC DESIGN
3.FASHION DESIGN

In this module, students apply advanced research, design, and technical skills to develop a professional-level project. The module includes:

  • Comprehensive research and planning.
  • Original and innovative design concepts.
  • A final presentation to industry professionals or external clients, showcasing their ability to
    meet professional standards.

Gaming computer (no MacBook for those who will choose Interior Design Specialization)
*It will be convenient to buy the latest version of a high-performance Lap Top with sufficient RAM and a powerful graphics card.

General equipment and materials will be provided throughout the course by your tutor and the academy. It is important to note that the brief will define some materials requirements at the beginning of the course module.

Education: PHD in Architecture (Scientific research on architectural design) 2015 to 2019 from: “La Sapienza” University, Rome. Master Degree in Architecture (Recycling, Architecture, Visual arts and Design) 2016 to 2018 from: University of Catania. Master Degree in Architecture (Architectural Design, Tecnique and tecnologies of materials, History of Art and Architecture) 2006 to 2013 from: University of Catania.
Gianluca is the head of our Master´s validated programme in Innovative Design, and has been a Senior Lecturer in our Interior Architecture & Design department for over 4 years.
Gianluca has a Master’s and a PHD degree within Architecture and Design.

Professor – 2017 to 2019 at: UPV Università Politecnica Valencia, Valencia (Spain) Researching and lecturing in the field of Architecture.
Architect – 2013 to 2019: Involved in different projects within Architecture, web design, post-production photography, catalogue design and packaging design.
Assistant professor – 2013 to 2017 at: University of Catania – Sicily – Italy.
Senior Lecturer in our Interior Architecture & Design department – 2018 onward.
